Affiliate & Article Marketing Guide | Earn $100 a Day in 60 Days

Reaching $100 a day ($3000 a month)
often seems like an unreachable target
for many. But it really is possible and
not that hard to achieve if you focus and put in the effort. Here I am going to provide you
with an example of how this
can be done in 1-2 months working
just a few hours each day.
Let’s break it down.
- We’ll promote an affiliate product that pays roughly at least a $25 commission. - I’m going to pick a real tangible product that is in high demand.- After looking around the product I choose is a High Definition Television.- I now look in
Amazon’s bestsellers to see what is popular.- The most popular HDTVs are Samsung models roughly priced between $500 - $2000. Amazon pays a 4% commission on these so if I sold a $1000 TV I’d get $40.
Now How Do I Make Money With This?
- First I will make a quick website that I can create a price comparison page on. I want to compare at least 3 prices from around the web for the particular model I choose to promote- I join the Amazon Affiliate program and also two other affiliate programs in Commission Junction that sell this TV. These pay between $25 and $150 for each sale I generate depending on the model and the particular affiliate program. That means I need between 1-2 sales a day on average to reach my $100 a day goal - see how real this goal is becoming!!!- To get started I simply make a page that compares the three prices outlining the best price. This page is useful to visitors as they can quickly find the cheapest TV while I get paid a commission… brilliant.
Now all I need is traffic…
- I give the price comparison the title of:"Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch HDTV Price Comparison."I also fill it with lots of content about the TV to make sure I can attract lots of SE traffic.- Now I need to build links to the site to help get SE traffic. I will do this with article marketing. This is where I write an article and submit it to xxx number of directories. The articles give linkbacks to my site
(helping to get more SE traffic) and also the articles can get traffic themselves
(as they also rank in the search engines) meaning the users will click the links in the article and land at my price comparison pages.- What I don’t want to do is write 1 article and submit it to 100 directories - this is fine but not the most effective way as Google will treat 99% of them as duplicate content.- Instead I will write one article but use JetSpinner (free) to spin it into 100 unique articles with unique titles.
This way the chance of being hit for duplicate content is less - and each article will be slightly different and therefore get higher search engine rankings for slightly different phrases.
How to write the articles for traffic
- The most important thing in an article is making sure the title contains a strong keyword phrase.
See my post on this here.- I did a search for a "Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch HDTV"
in Google. There were NO exact matches.WOW!!!! I can really break
into this little niche very easily.- I could come up with plenty more little variations like:Samsung LNT4661F 46 inch TVSamsung LNT 4661F 46 inch HDTVSamsung LNT4661F 46 inch High Def TVSamsung LNT 46 inch HDTV Samsung LNT4661F TV etc…- Using Jetspinner I could create 100 variations of my article title to be used in my article submissions.- Chances are some of these articles will hit the top 10 in Google, MSN and Yahoo and people will read the articles and click through to my price comparison site. Plus the extra link backs will also raise the rankings of my price comparison pages.
Rinse and Repeat
- Each day I make a new price comparison page for a different HDTV model on my site.
- Each Day I submit 100 variations of my article to 100 directories. The articles links back to my new price comparison page.
- Each submission of 100 articles drives ends up a trickle of traffic (say just 10 visitors a day). - After 1 month I have had 30 submission and get 300 visitors a day. Because the traffic is so targeted and the page I drive visitors to is actually encourages people to buy from the cheapest vendor, for every 300 visits I get at least 1 sale. - That’s at the very least $50 a day - but probably
more if I get higher conversions. If I do exactly the same in the next month and I’ve reached my $100 a day guaranteed!

Still Q1U-ing around town

Living in a 5” world is a rewarding experience. Coming down from a 12.1” wide screen Tablet PC (my Toshiba R400) there are obvious losses in productivity but ultimately the gains far outweigh this. I still remember traveling in June this year and feeling confident with my decision to go small; and this time was no different. As I lay in my Hotel for the night I surfed from the lounge chairs, from the bed, from the mini bar and even from the toilet (you know you’re guilty of it too). On this occasion however I did not plug in an external keyboard but rather I chose to use the keyboard on my OQO only, which proved to be more than OK.Thinking back on this road trip there were some memorable UMPC moments which predominantly revolved around visiting with the Brisbane SBS User Group. It was a great opportunity to meet some of the local fanatics and impart some of my stuff too. I rocked up with no less than eight UMPC ranging from OQO to EVERUN, and Q1U to SunPad. The "funnest" moment was when I was showcasing the Q1U’s multi camera array. Here is the photo I took using the Q1U:

Photography: Samsung Q1U-VSo
I am back in Sydney now and getting to know all the UMPC
I missed while I was away. I am spending plenty of time with the Fujitsu U1010 and am getting particularly fond of the SunPad too. My next trip is to Adelaide
(but there may even be a New Zealand trip too) all before Christmas. So I will do what I can to find relevant info to share.

OQO with HSDPA and SSD in Australia

I’ve been blessed more often than I care to remember with great devices, by great manufacturers. I’ve had several “first of” in the World but I am afraid none of them (maybe the HTC Shift comes close) were as exciting as this. Obviously I am ont first in the world but first in Australia/New Zealand is good enough for me given that’s where I spend my time.Given that I have decided NOT to use a HTC Shift as my primary device then this delivery by the FedEX man is e2xcellent! LOL. The OQO e2 has been my favorite UMPC for some time but now with the addition of a 32GB Solid State Disk (SSD) and HSDPA (3G) I am a total convert.Today, arriving ahead of schedule I might add, I received my OQO e2 and yes it is the SSD model, yes it has HSDPA, and as I like it…it is the Vista Business!!! So stay tuned while I get to know her this weekend and feedback on my thoughts. For now I can tell you that the 1.6GHz (improvement over the 1.5 GHz) VIA processor, and SSD combo, is noticeably faster than my previous 02.

I’m in geek eutopia!

HSDPA SSD OQO doing its thing
...with Mr. 02 watching nervously!
NB. I know many of you will ask so here is why I did not go for the Shift:
Battery life in Vista POOR
There is no way to communicate between Windows Mobile 6 and Vista, i.e. when my emails come in, and get replied to, on WM6 the process does not get duplicated on Windows Vista. POOR.
The device is portable but I am starting to believe that these bigger devices struggle to be considered mobile…(thoughts???)
There’s more but I will leave it for another post.

Some people have all the Christmas'

Man this week has been fun...and then this!

Merry Christmas and Happy 2008

It is awesome having you guys and girls with me. I look forward to providing lots of fun (and info) in 2008 and wish the best for you, your families and loved ones.

I am pumped for an exciting year ahead of UMPC action and will do everything humanly possible to tell it "my way"! We will speak soon!

My Q1U gets HSDPA

Excitedly I have just got my Q1U-V back from an engineer friend…the welding, bending, mending type of angineer, and I am happy to report that it is HSDPA enabled now!Now for some of you this may sound like a bit of a “what tha!” but for me it is very exciting as the Samsung Q1U has never been available in Australia with the HSDPA chip. Why you might ask? Well the reason is that we have our own very very stringent set of Telecommunications Standards Downunder called the A-Tick. Not only does this A-Tick Standard have to be passed, but it seems as though without the might of one of the “big boys” behind you (Telcos) you won’t even get the A-Tick any way. The only workaround therefore is to retro fit a locally an A-Ticked modem to the Samsung after it lands in the Country…and that’s just what we did.The modem is the Sierra mini PCI Express HSDPA modem. It works perfectly and I must admit it makes the Q1U a entirely different experience (in a good way).

Right USB for UMPC

The one thing I hated most about USB cables since laptops, and more recently mobile PCs were invented, was the need for such long bits of cable at the connector side. I have looked and looked for a solution to turn the cable at right angles but never felt happy with what I saw or found…until now that is.

Recently I found the “Wapy Gender” USB kit. Now I know the name is awful but the product is to die for. There are two in a pack (left and right) and both rotate their little USB port clockwise and anticlockwise. What this means is that the options are endless for mounting USB devices now and the cables can be neatly removed away from the perpendicular eye saw we are so accustom to!
SWEET!!!

15th International Congress of Speleology

15th International Congress of Speleology Kerrville, Texas USAJuly 19-26, 2009
Welcome from the UIS PresidentOver 50 years ago, a number of visionary central European cavers got together and organised the first International Congress of Speleology in Paris. This was the foundation of internationally organised speleology. Then in 1965, at the fourth International Congress in Postojna, Slovenia, the "Union Internationale de Spéléologie" (UIS) was born. Kerrville, Texas is honoured to experience the 15th Congress in 2009. Since 1953, the event has evolved from a European-based affair to today's highly international one with people coming from over one hundred countries.Over this period, progress of the main elements of speleology has also accelerated. Cave exploration is now going on all over the globe, with many new areas being visited. Suggestions 30 years ago that there were no caves in the Himalayas have long since been superseded. Africa and South America are new frontiers with relatively small numbers of caves so far explored. On the cave science front, who, 30 years ago, could have envisaged the possibility of being able to date speleothems to such accuracy. In some areas of the world we can look at individual storms that happened 350,000 years ago! There is still a huge amount to do: paleo-sediment, paleo-guano and paleo-stalagmite research - not to mention formation of caves by hydrothermal solution. Probably no more than ten percent of the caves in the world have been explored and only a fraction of the potential cave science accomplished. What a wonderful activity speleology is and there is no better way of getting an up-to-date appreciation of its many aspects than coming to an international congress. I look forward to meeting many cave explorers and scientists in Kerrville, USA, in July 2009.Andy EavisUIS PresidentWelcome from the NSS PresidentWelcome to the 15th International Congress of Speleology. The National Speleological Society is honored to host the Congress. Our goals are to promote the study and science of Speleology, the protection of caves and their natural contents, the exploration of caves, and fellowship among those interested therein. It is a great opportunity for all to meet and exchange ideas on our common interest, the caves and karst of the world.Be sure to take advantage of the opportunity to see many of the caves and karst areas of our country. There are many pre- and post-Congress field camps as well as the day trips during the Congress. We look forward to meeting you at in Kerrville, Texas.William TozerNSS President
